JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of a Radiologist performs professional duties involved in a variety of procedures related to nuclear medicine diagnostic studies. Will be licensed by the State of Texas and trained in the proper handling of radioactive agents required in nuclear medicine testing. Adheres to the Code of Ethics of the ARRT. Demonstrates knowledge of special needs and tasks appropriate to each age group as applicable. Performs other related activities to ensure the successful and smooth operation of the Radiology Department. Performs within the prescribed limits of the District and departmental legal compliance program. Responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer or District hotline.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic in Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification
• Licensed by the State of Texas as a Certified Medical RADIATION Technologist issued by the Texas Department of Health.
