Bryan L. Prochnow
Chief Financial Officer & Interim CEO
Bryan manages the financial performance and provides operational and pragmatic support for the Matagorda County Hospital District.
Since joining the district in 2000 he has successfully secured financing for the new Matagorda Regional Medical Center hospital campus, the Doman Freeman Philips Medical Office Building, and the MRMC Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. Bryan is also a recipient of the CFO of the Year award from Quorum Health Resources.
Bryan has over 30 years of experience in acute care hospitals, and his experience ranges from Controller at large hospitals to Chief Financial Officer at both investor-owned and non-profit facilities. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and an MBA from Creighton University.
Chief Compliance Officer
Terri leads accreditation, legal and regulatory compliance operations for the Matagorda County Hospital District.
Terri has over 35 years of experience in healthcare administration and management, and has successfully led her organizations through multiple Joint Commission and CMS surveys.
Before joining the hospital district in 1988, Terri served as the Director of Health Information Management at Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca, Texas.
Terri earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is certified in health compliance (CHC) and is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with the American Health Information Management Association.
Chief Nursing Officer
Mike leads system-wide nursing operations for the Matagorda County Hospital District. He is also responsible for the success of the Hospital Chaplain’s Auxiliary and the Student Governing Body programs.
Before joining the hospital district in 2013, Mike served as the director of 110-bed emergency department in Mesa, Arizona. There, he achieved the only Vision Award for outstanding leadership in a hospital system, and improved the rank of his emergency department from #13 to #1 in fewer than 18 months.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Langston University in Oklahoma, and a Master of Business Administration from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.
Chief Business Development Officer
Aaron leads market development operations for the Matagorda County Hospital District. He also chairs the Service Excellence Council and is responsible for the district’s marketing and brand experience strategy.
Before joining the hospital district in 2014, Aaron worked for the Air Force Medical Operations Agency in San Antonio where he implemented the first national medical treatment facility outreach program. He also served as the official USAF marketing and communication liaison to the White House for Defense Health Agency initiatives.
Aaron earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University, a Master of Science in Clinical Practice Management from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and an MBA in Healthcare Management from Dallas Baptist University.
Aaron is a recipient of the CXPA's Customer Experience Impact Award and holds professional certifications in marketing, customer experience management, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
