Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting-place for those who here gave their lives, that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate—we cannot hallow—this ground.

The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us—that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of devotion—that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain—that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

How much does parasailing cost?

A: The regular price per person is $99.00. Please call ahead for current pricing – we frequently offer daily specials and have coupons.

Do we have to be able to swim?

A: No. Since all takeoffs and landings are done from the back of the boat you don’t even have to get wet. In the extremely unlikely event of boat malfunction, the parasailers slowly drift down to the water wearing a life jacket.

How long is the entire experience?

A: The entire commitment normally takes around an hour and a half. Please incorporate flexibility in your schedule for traffic, parking, check in etc. Each flight is up in the air for 6-8 minutes, and the remainder of the time is spent on the boat for around 45 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of customers on the boat.

What happens if weather prevents us from parasailing?

A: If the weather prevents us from parasailing, we will gladly refund or reschedule your reservation. Please keep in mind that this is a weather sensitive activity and we are in no control of the weather.

Will we be alone on the boat?

A. No, all of our boats have a captain and a mate. Additionally, our boats, on average, hold twelve people. This means we can accommodate larger groups. If your group does not fill the boat you should expect to be riding on the boat with others. If you do not wish to ride along with others, you may contact the booth to inquire about renting the entire boat for the hour, at the cost of twelve tickets. We do not tolerate any discrimination or mistreatment of our customers by anyone including our staff or other customers. We encourage everyone to come to their Parasailing Adventure with an open mind and a positive attitude.

Do I have to get wet?

A: No, you don’t have to get wet if you don’t want to. Our way of flying is called controlled parasailing, meaning you take off and land smoothly right from the back deck of the boat. If you opt for it, there is a fun wet part towards the end of your flight. The captain slows the boat down and has you gently freefall, dipping your feet in the water for a refreshing splash. He then lands you back safely on the boat deck.

Is parasailing safe?

A: Parasailing is an extreme sport and it does carry risks. However, our captains and crews are specially trained to minimize or avoid such risks. We have flown 1000’s of participants, your safety is our number one priority.
