Oktoberfest

The Matagorda Regional Medical Center Foundation (MRMCF) announces our 2025 fundraising event, Oktoberfest 2025! This fun German themed evening will raise funds to upgrade equipment in our Orthopedic Surgical Suite at Matagorda Regional Medical Center (MRMC) in anticipation of our new full-time orthopedic surgeon arriving this summer. We are excited to hoist an Ein Prost on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Evening Event: Oktoberfest 2025

Guests will enjoy German cuisine, polka music, dancing, games, ceremonial “Tapping of the Kegs” and stein hoisting. Brush up on your chicken dance, and dirndl and lederhosen dress is encouraged! This year’s featured bands are Off the Grid Band and the Lederhosen Junkies. Download the event flyer here!

Morning Event: Pivo & Pigs 5k Run/Walk

Join us for a fun 5K! Registration begins at 8:00am, and the 5k starts at 9:00am at the MRMC Wellness Center. Each participant will receive a German treat at the finish line! About the MRMC Foundation

The Matagorda Regional Medical Center Foundation was established in 2004 to support the hospital as a stand-alone, not-for-profit organization. The Foundation is a 501c3 organization, and contributions are tax-deductible. The foundation is the fundraising arm for the Matagorda Regional Medical Center. Its mission is to build community relationships and obtain funding to support MRMC in delivering quality and compassionate healthcare.
