Coordinates delivery of cardio pulmonary services in order to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with potential cardiopulmonary diseases. With latitude of independent judgment, performs administrative, staff supervisory, and professional duties in supervising and directing the work of staff cardio pulmonary technologists and related supporting department personnel. Maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Assures appropriate patient care management and adjusts daily operations to meet the needs of a changing work environment. Performs formal instruction of department personnel and performs as a staff technologist as required. Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies. Performs within the prescribed limits of the District and departmental legal compliance program. Responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer or District hotline.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- Registered or Certified by National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Valid Texas License as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- 5 or more years’ experience from an accredited hospital Respiratory Care department.
