As Dr. Pappas transitions into a well-earned retirement, we want our community to know that our Women’s Center remains strong, capable, and deeply committed to serving expectant mothers right here at home.

Each year, over 400 babies are delivered at MRMC. While most arrive healthy and ready for their first “Happy Birthday,” our care model is intentionally designed for structured partnerships with Houston-based specialists and rapid transport when advanced care is needed. From expert care coordination during high-risk pregnancies to seamless neonatal transport for babies requiring specialized support, we strive to ensure every mother and newborn receives the right level of care at the right time. Safe deliveries happen here, and advanced resources are available within minutes when needed.
