Our Bay City WIC Clinic is open Monday and Thursday, 8am to 6pm, Friday 8am-12pm and Tuesday 9am-7pm (979) 245-9848. We operate out of our Palacios Clinic on Wednesday 9am – 5pm (361) 972-2351.
Nutrition services at WIC include:
Nutrition classes
Individual counseling about nutrition needs and concerns
Classes on how to breastfeed
Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program
Social services and medical referrals
Referral for immunizations
Supplemental food packages
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children — is a health and nutrition program with a successful record of improving the diet of infants, children, and pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women who are at risk for nutrition-related illness. The main focus of WIC is educating mothers about proper nutrition for babies and young children.
