MEHOP Relationship

In October 2009, the Matagorda County Hospital District Public Health Clinic (PHC) entered into a partnership in healthcare with the Matagorda Episcopal Health Outreach Program (MEHOP). Self-pay patients that do not meet eligibility guidelines for the MAP Program will be directed to the MEHOP Clinic for care. The PHC will continue to see qualified MAP patients and continue to provide tuberculosis care and immunizations. MEHOP is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and offers primary care services to self-pay clients on a sliding scale basis (fee based on income) and accepts Medicare and Medicaid. MEHOP will screen patients to determine if they qualify for Medicaid. MEHOP is located at 101 Avenue F North, Bay City, Texas.
