Matagorda Regional Medical Center has teamed up with EmCare Inpatient Services to provide our Hospitalist services effective November 16, 2009.

EmCare’s first hospitalist program was started in 1993 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas with the goal of caring for the unassigned admissions from the emergency department. Since that early beginning they have been building hospitalist programs for hospitals across the country. They have grown to over 35 programs in 15 states providing care for over 1,000 inpatients every day. EmCare employs more than 300 hospitalist physicians and is recognized as one of the top management companies in hospitalist medicine.
